Arina Brovanova is a composer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist with extensive experience performing and recording with the piano and the cello. She is a co-founder and a musician of the London-based functional ensemble "Belle Quartet".
Arina began her musical journey at a young age. By the time she was 12, she had graduated with Honours from Novosibirsk Music School 12, accomplished in both piano and cello. Her Russian classical training provided her with a unique lens through which she composes today.
She graduated with distinction, earning her MMus in Composition for Film and TV, from the London College of Music, University of West London in 2022, where she studied under esteemed composers such as Bartosz Szafranski, Jan Willem de With, Simone Spagnolo, and David Osbon.
She gained broad experience in composing for short films, videos, theatre performances, games, and various ensembles. She has also developed expertise in game sound design, working with Unity, Unreal Engine, FMOD, and Wwise.
Alongside her studies, she also achieved a Conducting Diploma (DipLCM) and had the opportunity to conduct the LCM Camerata.
As a cellist, she has played with orchestras in Russia and the UK and participated in numerous recording sessions (including, in Abbey Road Studio 1) as a part of different ensembles.
As a pianist, she has performed numerous solo recitals. Her piano repertoire includes music by classical and modern composers such as J. S. Bach, F. Chopin, Johann Strauss, M. Mussorgsky, Philip Glass, Ludovico Einaudi and many more. Her favourite concert pieces are Seasons by Tchaikovsky and Vagharshapat Dance by Arno Babajanian.
Arina is also a passionate and dedicated music educator, offering piano and cello lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
